BSE (Bovine Spongiform
Encephalopathy) is a
degenerative
neurological fatal brain
disease in cattle. It
can be transmitted to
other species, including
humans, as TSEs
(Transmissible
Spongiform
Encephalopathies). The
human variant is known
as CJD (Creutzfeldt
Jakob Disease).
